New York City in the early 1990s, was one of the most dangerous places in the world. Each year there were over 2000 homicides and over 225,000 violent crimes committed in the Big Apple. However, there was one particular case that captured the city's imagination and dominated the headlines. And no, it wasn't a homicide or rape or robbery. It was the bizarre case of Marla Trump and her former publicist Chuck Jones, a man who would become known in New York City lore as the shoe bandit.
